Updated news) Arabsat to continue broadcasting ETV after negotiation

EMF – Arabsat took Ethiopian’s propaganda machine ETV off air on Friday next day after Ethiopian Federal Police brutal act against Ethiopian Muslims. According to our source; Arab Sat promised to start broadcasting ETV after holding discussion with Ethiopian diplomats yesterday.
Ethiopian activists reached out to Arabsat and asked ETV to be removed from platform, alleging ETV broadcasting hatred and false accusation against oppositions and Ethiopian Muslims. Source told to EMF, Arabsat asked Ethiopian government to give reasonable explanation why Police brutally attacked peaceful Ethiopians in Addis Ababa and other cities of the country.  According to EMF source, Arabsat will restart Ethiopian TV soon.
Activist told to EMF, “We need to come together and demand Arasat to stand with its previous decision and stop broadcasting EPRDF’s propaganda machine, ETV signals until it gets reasonable explanation on police’s hostility against Ethiopians”.

Ethiopia has been a land of absolute military dictatorship before and after the death of the late Meles Zenawi. It is believed that the current Ethiopian prime minister, Hailemariam Desalegn has no-say on actions taken by the military and security forces.
The move by Arabsat may give the opportunity to ESAT and other Ethiopian Media to gain control of covering events unfolding in Ethiopia. Ethiopian opposition Media accused the current Ethiopian regime for the killing of hundreds and violation of Human Rights in the country.
Following Thursday’s violation, Amnesty International released a statement calling on the Ethiopian government to end “repressive tactics against demonstrators”.
Recently, Arabsat stopped the broadcasting Syrian, Libya and other dictatorial regime, government Television channels including Press TV.
