ኢሳት ዜና:-የአንድነት ፓርቲ ምክትል ሊ/መንበርና የህዝብ ግንኙነት ሐላፊ የሆነው አቶ አንዱዓለም አራጌ በጨለማ ቤት ውስጥ ታስሮ፣ ቀዝቃዛ መሬት ላይ እንዲተኛ መደረጉ በየጤናው ላይ ከፍተኛ ችግር እየፈጠረበት መሆኑን ትናንት ለጠቅላይ ፍርድ ቤት ተናግሯል።

አቶ አንዱዓለም የመተንፈሻ ችግር እንዳለባቸው ይሁን እንጅ በጠባብ ክፍል 6 ሆነው በመታጎራቸው መታመማቸውንና ከባለቤታቸውና ጥቂት ቤተሰባቸው ውጪ ሌሎች ጓደኞቻቸውና የስራ ባልደረቦቻቸው እንዳይጠይቁዋቸው መደረጉን ተናግረዋል፡፡

የቀድሞው የፓርላማ አባል አቶ አንዷለም አያሌው በበኩላቸው ጠበቆቻቸው መጥተው ሊያናግሩዋቸው እንዳልተፈቀደለቻው ገልጸዋል።ዳኛው አቶ ዳኘ መላኩ ስርአቱን አልጠበክም በሚል የመናገር እድል ነፍገውታል፡፡ ዛሬ መንግስት ያቀረበለት ጠበቃ ቢቀርብም በጊዜ ቀጠሮ ለታህሳስ 28 ቀን 2005 ዓ.ም እንዲቀርብ ተነግሮታል፡፡

ጠበቃ ደርበው ተመስገን ይግባኙ እንኳን ሳይጠናቀቅ ከፍተኛው ፍርድ ቤት የተከሳሾችን ንብረት ለመውረስ በመጣደፍ ላይ ነው በማለት በቃል ሊያቀርቡ ቢፈልጉም ፍርድ ቤቱ በጽሑፍ ያቅርቡ ሲል አስቁሟቸዋል፡፡

ጠበቃ አበበ ጉታ በበኩላቸው ደንበኞቻችን በአንድ የክስ መዝገብ ቢከሰሱም ቃሊቲ እና ቂሊንጦ ተበትነው በመታሰራቸው ለጠበቆች ጥየቃ እንዳልተመቻቸውና በበቂ መጎብኘትና ማነጋገር አለመቻላቸውን ለፍርድ ቤት አሳውቀዋል፡፡

ፍርድ ቤቱ መዝገቡን ለውሳኔ ለጥር 10 ቀን 2005 ዓ.ም በጊዜ ቀጠሮ ያሻገረ ሲሆን ክርክሩ በጽሑፍ ተገልብጦ እንዲቀርብለት አዟል፡፡

በትናንት ዘገባችን የተከሳሾችን የመቃወሚያ ሀሳብ ማቅረባችን ይታወሳል።

አራት ኢትዮጵያዊያን ጋዜጠኞች የሚዲያ ሥራ በዓለም እጅግ አዳጋች በሆነበት ሀገራቸው ሃሣብን በነፃ የመግለፅ መብቶች እንዲከበሩ ላደረጓቸው ጥረቶች (እአአ) የ2012ን ስመ-ጥሩን የሄልማን/ሃሜትን ዓለምአቀፍ ሽልማት አግኝተዋል።

Somalia Boat Capsizes, 55 Somalis, Ethiopians Dead Or Missing

Fifty-five Somalis and Ethiopians drowned or went missing after their boat capsized off Somalia on Tuesday in the worst such disaster in the area in almost two years, the United Nations said.

The UN refugee agency said Thursday the incident represents "the biggest loss of life" in the Gulf of Aden since February 2011 when 57 Somali refugees and migrants from the Horn of Africa drowned while attempting to reach Yemen.

"23 bodies have been recovered. The 32 remaining passengers are presumed to have drowned," UNHCR said.

At least five people survived the accident. They said the boat was overcrowded and capsized just 15 minutes after leaving the port of Bosasso in Somalia's northern semi-autonomous state of Puntland on Tuesday.

100,000 people have crossed the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden this year, despite warnings about the risks such trips involve, the agency said.

In addition to using unseaworthy and overcrowded boats, those fleeing the Horn of Africa often fall prey to unscrupulous smugglers, in whose hands they can face exploitation, extortion and even death, the agency warned.

It said 95 people have drowned or gone missing in the waters between Somalia and Yemen this year.

Ethiopia delays appeal of jailed blogger Eskinder Nega

An Ethiopian court Wednesday delayed again the appeal of blogger Eskinder Nega and opposition leader Andualem Arage, who were jailed earlier this year for terror-related offences.
Judge Dagne Melaku said more time was needed to review the bulky case file.
Eskinder and Andualem were among 24 people convicted in June under Ethiopia’s anti-terrorism legislation. Eskinder was jailed for 18 years, while Andualem was sentenced to life.
Eskinder, who is representing himself, rejected the claim that he had links with the US-based Ginbot 7 group, considered a terrorist organisation under Ethiopian law.
“I am not a member of Ginbot 7,” said Eskinder in an emotional speech in court, prompting the judge to order him to calm down.
“All the evidence that the prosecution brought against me does not prove that I am a member of Ginbot 7.”
Rights groups have called Ethiopia’s anti-terrorism legislation vague and accuse the government of using the law to stifle peaceful dissent.
All those charged under the law since it was introduced in 2009 have been found guilty, including two Swedish journalists who were sentenced to 11 years in prison, but later released by the government after serving 14 months.
The appeal hearing will resume in January 18.
Eskinder and Andualem are both accused of “participation in a terrorist organisation” and “planning a terrorist act.”
Eskinder received the “freedom to write” award earlier this year from the US-based press watchdog PEN.
